🔐 Code Breaker
Code Breaker is co-operative deduction under a hard limit. The panel tells you how many pegs are exactly right and how many are the right colour in the wrong place, but never which — so the useful work happens in chat, between guesses.
- 2–4 players
- Co-operative
- Bots available
How to play
- A four-peg code is hidden. Six colours, repeats allowed.
- You get ten attempts between the whole team, taking it in turns to submit.
- Each guess reports exact matches and near matches, without saying which pegs.
- Crack it and everyone wins; run out and nobody does.
How you win
Enter the exact code within ten attempts.
Tips that actually help
- Open with two colours only, like red-red-blue-blue. The numbers that come back are much easier to reason about.
- Change one thing at a time once you have a partial fit. Changing two tells you nothing.
- Write your reasoning in chat. Ten attempts is not many when three people are guessing independently.
In-game summary
A four-colour code locks the vault and you all have ten attempts between you. Take turns submitting a guess — after each one the panel reports how many pegs are the right colour in the right place, and how many are the right colour in the wrong place, but never which. Talk it through in chat. Crack it and everyone wins; run out of attempts and nobody does.
