#️⃣ Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe

Regular tic-tac-toe is solved and boring. Ultimate fixes it with one rule: the square you play inside a small board sends your opponent to the matching board. Suddenly every move is two decisions — where you want to win, and where you’re willing to send them.

How to play

  1. Nine small boards sit in a 3×3 grid. Win a small board and you claim its square on the big one.
  2. Whichever square you play in decides which small board your opponent must play in next.
  3. If you send them to a board that is already won or full, they get a free choice of any open board.
  4. Small boards that end in a draw are claimed by nobody.

How you win

Claim three small boards in a row on the big grid. If every board fills first, whoever claimed more wins.

Tips that actually help

In-game summary

Nine small boards make one big board. Win a small board to claim its square, and win three claimed squares in a row to win the game. The catch: whichever square you play in decides which small board your opponent must play in next. Send them to a board that is already finished and they get a free choice.
